Client Relations Manager

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, support and grow relationship and business with current MacKay & Company clients

  • Find, cultivate and develop business with new customers

    • Write proposals and develop budgets

  • Demonstrate and train customers and potential customers on MacKay & Company products

  • Manage or support management of research and consulting projects

  • Work industry and customer trade shows

  • Make client and industry presentations

  • Provide forecast and review of potential sales

  • Develop ideas for new services or product

Details

  • Primary territory (but not limited to) Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio

  • Primary client companies:

    • On and off-highway vehicle manufacturers

    • Component manufacturers

    • Equipment and parts dealers and distributors

    • Private equity and investment banks

    • Industry Trade publications

    • Industry trade associations

  • Approximately 30-50% travel, if based in Chicago

Job requirements or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher 

  • 10 years marketing or sales experience

  • Background in the medium and heavy duty commercial vehicle, agriculture, construction or industrial markets 

  • Experience with consulting or research 

  • Office suite

Background Plus (not required but would be considered a plus)

  • Engineering degree

  • MBA or other applicable graduate degree

  • Understand or background in the parts and service aftermarket

  • Fluent in Spanish or other language
