DataMac^® Brazil

MacKay & Company is pleased to announce the launch of its newest DataMac^® program, DataMac^® Truck Brazil.

With an estimated 750,000 medium trucks and nearly 1.2 million heavies in operation, Brazil represents a very significant aftermarket opportunity for both vehicle and component suppliers. If parts consumption per vehicle in the U.S. is used as a benchmark, the Brazilian heavy duty aftermarket could carry a value of over $5 Billion at point of last sale.

The initial research program will be structured to cover components from bumper to bumper. For those companies participating in this initial research endeavor, we will focus on parts and components of specific interest.

MacKay's Dave Fulghum spent from two weeks in Brazil to kick off our benchmark DataMac^® Truck Brazil study. During his visit, he met with four potential research partners who are similar to MacKay. After careful consideration, we will utilize two of these firms to coordinate and complete the necessary field research (survey and interviews). Their Portuguese skills are better than ours!
