DataMac® Database Application MacKay & Company has been providing aftermarket parts potential information (DataMac) to the truck industry since the early 1980s. MacKay & Company has developed an interactive database for analysis and display of DataMac data in countless variations of graphs and data tables.
![]() Database Overview The database can display data in four formats: column graph, bar graph, pie chart, or datasheet. All of the options are menu driven—point and click. No database programming knowledge is required to utilize the full functionality of the database. The DataMac Database Application includes the capabilities to print any of the charts or graphics. The graphics can also be copied-and-pasted into a word processor like Microsoft Word, a spreadsheet like Excel or a presentation program like Power Point. See the Help page for details about functionality.Database Sources The database is developed around two primary sources of information, end user survey results and MacKay & Company’s vehicle population models. The database is a bottom up analysis of usage patterns rather than a top down allocation of sales. The database includes the same 364 components which are in MacKay & Company’s DataMac Truck.
